The Clipper Stad Amsterdam follows in Charles Darwin’s footsteps 150 Years after the publication of Darwin’s book “On the Origin of Species” the Clipper Stad Amsterdam is currently resailing the journey of the Beagle. The voyage of the Beagle is said to be the most important journey in the history of mankind. Charles Darwin gained so much knowledge and understanding during his voyage (1831 – 1836) that he drastically changed our insight on life on earth. Almost two centuries later the Clipper is resailing this voyage for VPRO Dutch Television.
The Clipper is a sailing platform on which scientists, photographers, designers and other guests will sign on. Track their explorations and experiences night and day through the internet, television and radio broadcasting.
