In May 2005 the company has entered into one of the largest deals in its long history with the conclusion of a new building project linked with long term contract commitments. The deal (vessels and contracts) is worth about USD 150 mln and consists of two newbuilding 5600 cbm ethylene carriers with Ice Class 1A and are linked to contract of affreightments with important petrochemical companies. Anthony Veder has been working closely together with Borealis to develop this project and these vessels will allow them to continue trading petrochemical gases during winter in the Baltic Sea and therefore strenghen their position in that area.
