Fleet

The Anthony Veder fleet consists of modern gas carriers. Most of them are semi pressurised/ fully refrigerated (SP/FR) gas tankers and ethylene (ETH) carriers. We also operate a fully pressurised (FP) tanker, a dedicated CO2 carrier (fully pressurised/ fully refrigerated, FP/FR) and a new type of vessel which is a combined LNG carrier.

Products

Gases transported by Anthony Veder include ammonia, chlorine, I-Butane, methane, nitrogen, propane, sulphur dioxide and vinyl chloride among others.

Overview fleet

Name Type Size Year
Coral Carbonic

Coral Carbonic - 1250 m3 F.P./ F.R. CO2

Coral Carbonic The Coral Carbonic does transport liquefied gas but only a special kind: this is the first purpose-built CO2 -tanker worldwide. CO2 or Carbon Dioxide is currently transported in relative small quantities. The Coral Carbonic therefore has a capacity of 'only' 1250 cbm, with all cargo transported in one tank. The vessel can be described as FP/FR as the maximum pressure is 18 barg and minimum temperature is -40°C. As the trading area is the Baltic and NW-Europe she is ice strengthened ice class 1A. For the transport of CO2 some special features in the gas-handling plant are necessary.

Marte

Marte - 3000 m3 S.P./ F.R. LPG

Marte The sister ships Marte and Venere are modern semi pressurized and fully refrigerated gas tankers. The vessels are very efficient vessels for the short haul business. The vessels are equipped with Azimuth thrusters giving the vessels a very good manoeuverability in port. The diesel electric propulsion and two propellers increase the redundancy of both vessels making them very safe for the trade. The vessels are trading in the Anthony Veder Pool and are owned by Arcoin.

Coral Obelia

Coral Obelia - 3800 m3 S.P./ F.R. LPG

Coral Obelia The Coral Obelia, with her slightly larger sisters Coral Meandra and Coral Millepora, is a semi pressurised/ fully refrigerated gas carrier with a capacity of 3800 cbm. The cargo plant features state-of-the-art equipment to transport and cool all common cargoes such as LPG's, ammonia, VCM and various chemical gases. The ship has the possibility to carry two cargoes simultaneously, one of which can be cooled. Change of grade can be dealt with a high capacity nitrogen plant. The vessel is therefore particularly suitable for short-sea voyages, although the relatively high speed and low fuel consumption due to the well-designed hull form makes longer voyages certainly possible.

Prins Johan Willem Friso

Prins Johan Willem Friso - 4200 m3 LPG / Ethylene

Prins Johan Willem Friso The Prins Johan Willem Friso is Anthony Veder's first newly-built ethylene carrier, although it was already delivered in 1989. As a semi pressurised/ fully refrigerated ethylene carrier with a capacity of 4200 cbm, it is also possible to carry all LPG's, ammonia and VCM. The two stage cooling plants have a very high capacity to cool down a cargo of ethylene. This makes her especially suitable for short haul trips although long voyages are certainly possible. Cargoes are transported in two tanks, two grades are possible (one cooled). An inert gas generator ensures easy inerting and change of grade.

Coral Rubrum

Coral Rubrum - 5364 m3 LPG/ ETHYLENE

Coral Rubrum The Coral Rubrum, with her sister vessel Coral Rigida, is an ethylene carrier with a capacity of 5340 cbm. The state of the art gas plant enables loading, cooling, transporting and discharging of ethylene but also all LPG's, ammonia and VCM. Two grades are possible to load, transport and cool. The nitrogen plant combines high purity with high capacity. The cooling plant has a very high capacity and this, together with a high loading and discharging rate, makes her very suitable for short-sea trips. Longer trips are certainly possible as the vessel has a high speed with relative low fuel consumption.
