The fleet management team has long-standing experience in operating gas tankers and extensive knowledge of gas handling systems. Anthony Veder can therefore operate its ships in an efficient way and those of pool members and third-party owners.
Our team advises customers on technical matters related to cargo handling and other technical issues. In addition, many years of experience in building new gas tankers enables us to innovate and offer the customer tailor-made solutions to answer their special requirements. One such example is the unique partnership between Anthony Veder and Linde-AGA which directly led to the creation of the first ever purpose-built CO2 carrier, built in 1999. Another example of such an innovation came in 2006, when we developed a combined LNG tanker capable of transporting other gases as well.
Anthony Veder's fleet management team also recognises the importance of good maintenance and our technical department has at its very heart a maintenance programme designed to prevent equipment and machinery breaking down. This helps protect vessels in the longer term and avoids costly repair bills and off-hire days.
Risk-assessment and inspections are carried out to see if there are any issues that are likely to lead to problems. A scheduled maintenance programme is then developed, including dry-docking needs, whilst bearing in mind commercial aspects and classification society requirements. Anthony Veder will also keep a check on spare-part stocks.
