Anthony Veder has developed a concept to transport LNG in smaller parcels and shorter distances - the "LNG Feeder Concept".
Anthony Veder was the first company to build a combined LNG, petrochemical gases and LPG tanker. The vessel is capable of transporting LNG at temperatures of minus 163 degrees C and can also carry ethylene at minus 104 degrees C. The vessel will be used for local LNG distribution to area's without a dense pipeline network and it is capable of loading at large terminals as well.
The vessel is also unique in the sense that she uses LNG as a fuel for the propulsion of the vessel when trading LNG, making her one of the cleanest vessels around. When moving other gases she will use heavy fuel oil. The vessel is one of the safest in the industry, with two thrusters and it also has a Green Star accreditation.
Anthony Veder believes that the smaler-scale LNG market will grow the coming years and this will result in more customer-designed projects like the Coral Methane.
