Anthony Veder was the first company to build a dedicated newbuilding CO2 carrier. The Coral Carbonic was built in 1999 for a long-term charter and can handle the specifics of the special industrial gas CO2 which cannot be carried in other gas tankers.
The CO2 we are transporting is clean CO2 which can be directly used for consumption, hence the reason why the Coral Carbonic is the only gas tanker to comply with HACCP. This is a quality system to ensure the safe handling of a product for human consumption in the entire food chain of the food industry.
